The NatGeo Interactive Carousel is an experimental UI concept developed for a Contra + Spline (Hana) contest. It explores how a modern interface could present wildlife and species content in a way that feels immersive, interactive, and visually engaging. Inspired by a glassmorphism HUD aesthetic, the experience simulates a targeting overlay system, combining cinematic visuals with subtle micro-interactions to enhance user engagement. The goal was to rethink how platforms like National Geographic could present content in a more dynamic and modern way, without relying on traditional layouts. To maintain a realistic use-case while avoiding copyright conflicts, all imagery was generated and refined specifically for this concept.

The NatGeo Interactive Carousel explores how editorial and educational content can evolve into immersive digital experiences. By combining glassmorphism, motion, and interactive 3D elements, the concept transforms a traditional content carousel into a dynamic interface that feels alive and exploratory. The project aims to bridge the gap between information and interaction, creating a UI that not only presents content but invites users to engage with it in a more intuitive and visually compelling way.
